2023 Hurricane Season Information
In the event that a Tropical Storm / Hurricane Watch or Warning is issued for our area, precautions should be taken to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and personal property. Such precautions include but may not be limited to:
Residential Properties
- Ensure all unsecured items are either secured or relocated to a safe location. Examples of such items include patio furniture / grills / storage containers / other miscellaneous items, etc.
- Remove furniture / items stored on balconies / patios.
- Do not trim trees / palm trees after a hurricane warning has been issued for our area.
Construction Sites
- Secure or remove all potentially hazardous objects such as temporary toilets / lumber, metal, forms, other loose building materials / ladders / scaffolding / containers, drums, cylinders / roofing tiles and shingles / other construction containers, items or debris.
- Remove roll-offs from sites if at all possible. Minimally, roll-offs must be covered and tightly secured.
- Ensure erosion controls are in place and secure.
- Remove all temporary signage.
