Mission Statement
The mission of the Juno Beach Police Department is to sustain excellence through leadership, professionalism and teamwork, respecting the constitutional rights of all, while maintaining personal and departmental integrity and a lasting partnership with the community.
Department Overview
The Juno Beach Police Department is staffed by 16 full-time law enforcement personnel, two (2) civilian personnel and ten (10) volunteers. The Police Department operates under a community policing concept; fostering a partnership with town residents through community safety programs (Coffee with a Cop, Trespass Program, National Night-Out Program and National Drug Take Back Program) and community awareness trainings such as CPR/AED Training, Driver Training, Cyber-Fraud Training.
The Juno Beach Police Department, in addition to vehicular patrol, also utilizes a golf cart for community interaction, an off road truck and ATV to patrol the Town’s beach. These vehicles give officers the opportunity to get up close and interact with residents, keeping in line with the community policing concept. This community oriented approach has created a hometown atmosphere and has fostered good-will towards the Police Department within the community. Residents often know their police officers who actively patrol the community. Departmental goals stress the highest ethical standards of behavior, respect for all persons regardless of their status, providing professional service, pursuit of excellence and use of innovation to improve effective problem solving.
Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the most visible and recognizable unit of the Police Department, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Patrol officers are first responders who provide proactive police patrols, enforce statutes and ordinances, traffic laws, report offenses and offer crime prevention tips and education to the community. In short, Patrol performs initial investigations into offenses and prevents and deters crimes through their presence. In order to effectively provide coverage throughout the Town, the Patrol Division utilizes four shifts that work in 12-hour rotations with both day and night shift coverage.
