Detective Bureau

The Detective Bureau conducts follow-up investigation on all major crimes reported in the Town. The personnel within the Bureau receive training above and beyond that of a normal patrol officer. This training increases their proficiency in developing leads, interrogating suspects, conducting interviews of witnesses and victims, recovering stolen property, and bringing cases to completion. Bureau personnel collaborate, develop and utilize evidence obtained from crime scenes to identify suspects and to construct a case. This case is then presented to the State Attorney's Office for prosecution of those involved in the crime.
