Volunteer Citizens Patrol Program (VCPP)
The Juno Beach Police Department prides itself on having one of the lowest crime rates in Florida. Some of that success can be attributed to our Volunteer Citizens Patrol Program (VCPP).
The VCPP has been successful since its inception more than 10 years ago to give the department an extra set of eyes and ears and to further promote the Town’s philosophy of Community Oriented Policing. VCPP members is a roving neighborhood watch, reporting any suspicious activity to road patrol units. They attend monthly Coffee with a Cop meetings and various training, solidifying teamwork and their commitment to making the Town of Juno Beach a great place to live and call home.
VCPP members participate in Town functions such as the National Night Out, Tour de Force, Art Fest, and other community functions.
Volunteers donate their time to patrol while driving a specially marked Juno Beach Police Department Citizen Patrol vehicle. Volunteers receive training in areas such as crime prevention, first-aid, traffic control, and community policing.
